On the saturation and best approximation

A note on interpolation, best approximation, and the saturation property

In this note, we prove that the well known saturation assumption implies that piecewise polynomial interpolation and best approximation in finite element spaces behave in similar fashion. That is, the error in one can be used to estimate the error in the other. We further show that interpolation error can be used as an a posteriori error estimate that is both reliable and efficient.

Best Approximation in TVS

In this paper  we give newresults on the best approximation  in the Hausdorff topological vectorspace and  consider relationship  with orthogonality. Also we determined under  what conditions the map $P_{K,f}$ is upper semicontinous.

The main purpose of this paper is to consider the t-best simultaneousapproximation in fuzzy normed spaces. We develop the theory of t-bestsimultaneous approximation in quotient spaces. Then, we discuss the relationshipin t-proximinality and t-Chebyshevity of a given space and its quotientspace.

t-BEST APPROXIMATION IN FUZZY NORMED SPACES

The main purpose of this paper is to find t-best approximations in fuzzy normed spaces. We introduce the notions of t-proximinal sets and F-approximations and prove some interesting theorems. In particular, we investigate the set of all t-best approximations to an element from a set.
